PROJECT: 2 RODEO DRIVE
LOCATION: BEVERLEY HILLS, CA
COMPLETED: 1991
BUDGET: 25 Million Dollars
SIZE: 100,000 Square Feet
DESCRIPTION: Two Rodeo Drive is a 100,000 SF of retail development with underground parking, located at the corner of Wilshire Boulevard and North Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, CA. Carved out of the center of the development is a new sloping pedestrian concourse linking the interior of the project directly to the surrounding streets. In addition to creating greater frontage for the retail spaces, the pedestrian concourse provides direct access from the underground parking to the street level and second floor retail spaces. Two story retail buildings provide enclosure for the public space which featured richly appointed materials and an elegant fountain. The retail buildings are modulated to maximize individual retail tenant identity while enhancing urban scale and rhythm. The design received the 1991 Golden Nugget Award.
