DESCRIPTION: Miu Miu - a high fashion division of Prada, selected this 6,000 square foot building located on Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles and designed to meet Miu Miu’s unique branding image. The boldly colored display panels suspense from the ceiling skylights to organize the showroom space into a series of discrete retail experiences. Extruded aluminum tubes as merchandising fixtures for folded clothing and accessories. Stringent planning guidelines, restrictive site conditions, and a structurally complex design solution created challenging constraints for a deceptively minimal design. The construction was completed in 1999.
